| Nic-A-Date Test
I decided to go to the coin shop today and picked up a bottle of this stuff. I decided to experiment on a buffalo nickel I found in a roll a few weeks back.I was pretty impressed with the results. I put tape on the parts where I didn't want the date restorer to hit. I would recommend this product to whomever has a pile of these nickels sitting around. Why not make a nic-a-date collection? Its kind of fun to see what sort of date pops up. |

There's nothing wrong with bringing out the date. Dateless buffalo are only good for jewelry in my opinion. I have a friend that's been restoring dates on Buffalo's and using them as fillers in his collection.

I use it all the time, I only put the smallest of drop on the last 2 digits to avoid the blotch.

I tipically dont buy dateless coins, though I do have some sitting around. Where can I buy this, and how much will it cost?

Does anyone know what the active ingredient is that makes the date appear? I would also like to know how much this costs.

Nice details then | I agree. If you put the entire coin in the stuff, then it will look even and bring out details on the reverse, like the horn.
