Hi Elaine,
Actually, this isn't surprising - that the silver rarities greatly surpassed the gold. Back during the great bull run of the late 70's that peaked early in '80, gold doubled to ~$850 while silver went up ten-fold to ~$50.
I just wish that I'd bought more 2006W's and silver anniversary sets.

I will be sitting by the Phones and the computer when the Jefferson First Spouse coins go on sale. I will try and get the 5 Proof and 5 Unc. if I'am lucky.

I am a collector of Peace Dollars and I can hardly keep up with the price increases at auction. Perish the thought but I think Bob Chambers is right about this series.

Where I come from those that follow items so closely, usually have possession of such items. Elaine are you holding these coins?
If so, then you and I are both Fool 4 Gold...

My Mood: | fool 4 gold
not really, but i got some only. i just like statistics, figures and mintages. pricing, graphing and so forth. i like math and accounting but my major is banking and business. and unfortunately, i worked for post office. i lost a lot on stock market and i gained back 75% from coin market. and my retirement plan is doing quite well. and housing is booming. what else i want for my life. i like coin. silver, gold and current coinage. this might be my happiest moment to collect coins and stay everyday with coin talk.
