Question 1789 Austrian 20 Kreuzer

I recently discovered a 1789 Austrian 20 Kreuzer mixed in with my collection of World War era coins. I've done some research and learned that the picture on the one side is of Hieronymus, the Archbishop of Salsburg. Around him it says:

HIERONYMUS D*G*A*&*P*S*A*S*L*N*G*PRIM*

There is something strange in the middle of the coin that distorted his face. A smooth, round indentation. It looks like someone rubbed the heck out of it or something.

If anyone knows more about this coin, or mostly what it is worth, please don't hesitate to let me know.

PS -- I'll post pictures of the coin upon request.

Actually, although Salzburg is now an Austrian city, from 798 to 1803 it was an independent Archbishopric with its own coinage. According to Krause, Salzburg KM#460 is ~29mm, 6.68g of .5380 silver (.1252 oz. ASW) minted in Milan, Italy.

In VG the 3rd Ed. 18th Century Krause values it at only $3, so IMHO with that wear/possible damage, it's basically worth melt value (about half a buck).
