I have this 1944 penny it has no mint mark. The M in America is broken on each side in the middle. I looked around for anything close but did not find nothing. Does anyone no of something like it or if it would make it worth anything?
Hopefully one of you GURUS can help me. Im fairly new to coin collecting so bare with me. In the picture I have a 1946 wheatie that has a letter error in "liberty". My question is, Is this a confirmed error, and do I have something of value here? Thank you sincerely for any time spent trying to help!
dustywallen looked at your list very informative. only one question noticed that on your 1955 P penny you have indicated NO VDB. I have overa dozen 1955, 1955D pennies and do not find any with the VDB unless it stands for something else

i am new to coin collections or simply looking for hidden treasure. i am finding close AM on several pennies. are they worth anything? i dont know if i should trust Etsy or ebay posts... please advise
The close AM is rare only on 1992-P and D, 1998-S, and 1999-S cents. Those are worth a LOT of money. They used a proof die by mistake. On 1998, 1999, and 2000 cents from Philadelphia, it's the WIDE AM that's the error from using a proof die. The 1998 is worth about $100 in MS-65, the 1999 about $450, and the 2000 about $45. Good luck!
Do you have an updated list? I found this one you posted 3yrs ago and I go by this one but haven't seem anything remotely close to this.
