Tough to get a read on luster, but the coin reminded me of a 66BN large cent in NGC slabs, so that's what I guessed.

And from this era makes them even that much better. Abe has a bread, sideburns, and even locks of hair over his ear. I seriously wish they would return to this image of Abe.

this coin looks like it may have been cleaned. there is some wear on cheek and on the hair area of lincoln. these are some of the places on this type of coin where the coin starts to show wear first. AU brown details coin.

It is brown and it has a couple obvious nicks. That is all I have seen needed to keep a coin from a 66. It definitely had the strike and the eye appeal. I see nothing wrong with the luster. Anyone ever seen 65+*? Or maybe they gave it the RB to make up for the + (before they were giving +'s), but still why not a *?

If that's a 65 it has to be one of the nicest 65s I've seen especially for a RB , I still say it's a 66 just for eye appeal alone .
