    Not a serious proposal obviously but does open up an interesting discussion. Sadly not much I can say about this whole thing without getting into politics lol...

    With paper they have to get the Fed to purchase it to get the seigniorage profit, with a coin they enter the profit on the books as soon as it is struck and turned over to the Mint Cashier.
