Hey guys, I have never been a set-registry guy but I just found this promo while surfing the PCGS website. There are rules and regulations, but click on the link below to get what I just got http://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/information.html P.S. should get you a free PCGS graded ATB Quarter for first time users Erik
I'm an idiot... Is signed up, but they haven't said anything about the quarter or offered to send it, etc. Do you have to fill in your PCGS coin information to complete sign up? I don't have any. Oh well.
I entered in my address during sign up and then received an email that told me that it will be shipped within 10 days.
No sir... Check your email that you signed up with. No Collectors membership needed for this deal Erik
I haven't done it yet, not sure if I will. Isn't this probably just a coin worth 25 cents in a slab ?
lol... Hey, FREE is FREE brother... I don't know who will win the U.S. Presidential election tomorrow, but i do know that ill be getting a free PCGS graded coin in 10 days or so... Just sayin' Erik
I know who will win the election, just look at the betting odds, not the polls. Obama is better than a 3-1 favorite and should be a 20-1 favorite. I don't like him, but he already won. Some English bookies are already paying Obama bets. As to the quarter, PCGS shows a MS-63 in the example.....I guess they want to teach newbies how to break slabs ?....to get ready to re-submit for the new Nitrogen filled airtight slabs that are in the works ? What newbie intern grader got the lucky job of grading these rolls of quarters from the bank ? LOL
Looky that! Now I can do the PCGS "What If" now that I have a registry set open. And a free coin to boot! Thanks!
lol again... I was at a Super Bowl party in 2008 and there was a friend of mine there who was at the time a "bookie." There was about 25 to 30 people there, mostly dudes. The "bookie" told everyone there that he would not take any action on the New England ML (ML = moneyline, where you bet a team straight up with no point spread). This "bookie" thought there was no way in time that the 18-0 Patriots could loose that game straight up to the wild-card NY Giants who had only won 9 regular season games... Well, I was a little disappointed because I wanted to bet the Patriots straight up. So in spite of this guys weird rule, I threw $200 on the Giants ML... And every single person there, including women, through something on the Giants ML. To make this story shorter than I want, that "bookie" friend ended up having to sell his boat to pay off all the bets he thought were a lock in his favor! The Giants were 5 to 1 that day. My point: there is no such thing as a lock in betting, and I single handedly witnessed this with my very own wallet and my eyes. P.S. good luck finding a book out there that will take any bet over $500 (total win) on the U.S. Presidential Election... You may as well be betting on American Idol. Erik
ever heard of pinnacle sports ? They'll take 10k a shot, move the line and you can shoot again....difficult for Americans to bet there now, though !
As to the Quarters..... Since PCGS is spendinding a few bucks per on this ( IMO) ....but something better than a damn bank quarter worth a quarter in the sample slab ! Instead of 25 cents on the coin, for not much more than $1 you could throw in a Low grade ( hopefully a full Good -4) Indian head cent, V- nickel, or Buffalo nickel....instead of something you'd put in the dryer at the laundromat !
