    Hey guys.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a mercury dime book. There's a nice red book on Morgan dollars but I haven't found one on mercs. Any suggestions.

Not a holder but an informational book.

David Lange wrote one and I think the title is "The Complete Guide to Mercury Dimes".

Just as an aside, I have noticed a trend I wanted to comment on. We tell beginners to get "the red book" since its a great beginner guide to US coins. I understand that publisher wishing to make money, so they now have "red books" of many US series. Please do not mistake out recommending "the red book" for meaning the "red book" of a particular series is the best reference for that particular series.

They are just a decent series of books, but I do not think I know of any "red book" of a certain series that is the most preferred reference for them. All US series have standard references on that series, and if anyone ever wishes to know what they should buy they should ask here. Please new collectors do not assume you have to buy the "red book" of a particular series.

The book Tom B noted is a good one, I read that before embarking on my short set. Still need a few coins in 66FB to complete the set. :)
