Great strike and luster. The discolorations are not so bad in hand. Obvious, but not bad. However, there are a couple nicks and a couple spots. I am not sure either would keep it from a 67, but both together definitely do. It is a 66. A solid 66, but PCGS and I agree.
Don't know what to say Dick, I knew this would grade 66, but I just couldn't do it this time. The weak right wheat, obv nicks, and color keep this from a 66 for me.
I am not exactly sure what you are seeing for nick, though there are some minor ones, but those wheats are all strongly there. I really do not see what you are seeing either in hand or on the picture.
The kernels look great, the "hairs" above the kernels look mushy. I'm probably just seeing things. Anyway, live and learn, I've just seen you post many 66's that blow this one away in my mind.
I'll have to look it up in the PCGS book , but I'm pretty sure ANA 6th edition says a 67 must be strongly struck .
