Arrrrgggg, who is that old "Mop-Squeezer" in the corner of the note? Looks pretty neat.
Take Care

OK, Prince Albert, have you gotten out of the can yet? LOL Thanks Hoss, glad to see you've made it safely back as well.

Ben,that is the post office's datestamp.Officially, the clerks are not really meant to datestamp the new British postal orders, but this is the only way that they can be made collectable,as they don't have a counterfoil anymore.Collectors of British Commonwealth postal orders like myself really like the ones issued outside the U.K.,as they are usually quite sought after.
Steve, that is a very nice 50 Pence postal order you have got shown there.
Aidan.

Steve, thanks for doing that for me.I got a contact in England to send me a 50p. postal order from the post office at Llanfair PG in 2005.It is a very nice numismatic souvenir from the place with the longest place name in the world - 58 letters long.Llanfair PG is located on Anglesey. Its main tourist attraction is the sign at the railway station.I am very surprised that Welsh people know how to spell it out in full, let alone,be able to pronounce it.

Steve,I didn't think any overseas postal administrations were issuing 50p. B.P.O.s.I had been informed by the Postal Order Society that the overseas postal administrations were issuing B.P.O.s in a range of fixed denominations between 1 & 20 Quid.I will be pleased to report this note to the Postal Order Society to let them know that Royal Mail gave them wrong information.

Ballabh, you were wanting to know what a typical postal order looks like.Steve had posted a photo of the above pictured postal order before he posted it off to me to add into my collection.
