    1888 o hot lips, whats the value?

    Please let me know what you think about this coin. I conservatively grade it as an AU 55, but compared to all other pictures I have seen on the web I believe it would make AU 58. Please comment! Click here to enlarge

    guessing about 6K, 7.5K if it graded at 58 by either of the big 2, just my guess.
    Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

    It might grade MS. The 88-O was known to have a weak strike particularly in Liberty's hair and on the eagle's breast & leg feathers.

    I never thought this was an attractive variety. Beauty vs variety? In my book, beauty wins ever time. Nice coin, though.
