    Post your Cherrypicks

I was going to just post my cherrypicks from the local dealer, but decided, why not make it an recurring thread for everyone's cherrypicks. So there here we go, post any ridiculous errors, varieties, low mintage coins, key dates, and others that you got from a dealer's inventory, ebay, pawn shop, purchase from 3rd party. And the best part, you know you made out like a bandit.

Here are some unique buffalos I picked out of a dealer's backstock. He was sleeping at the wheel on some of his stuff.
1918-S Buffalo (Lamination Peel at 11 o'clock and a small cud at 5 o'clock) unique because it has two mint errors on this semi-key piece.

1925-S (Two Feather error and double struck under the second feather with the Indian's neck/Adam's Apple)

1925-S (Two Feather) Found a second one from the same box he had the double strike in, I was amazed at both finds!

Although this was more of a pleasant surprise than an actual cherrypick, I won this 1943 Washington on Teletrade ( http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot.a...=3149&lot=1128 ) and received this:

Nice surprises are greatly welcomed! That's is a pleasant find, any chance that PCGS will grade it with the DDO tag if you resubmitted it?

Amazing FE Larry. I too am curious as to what you have going on there. Looks like some sort of die clash or I thought was a shattered die with all the separation lines and the cud.

I wanted to show it off a bit at the Fun show but it was with Todd. He did a great job on the image. The cent die was clashed with the obverse die for the $20 gold piece. Miss Liberty's profile, facing right, runs thru AMERICA. Not many folks care for this type of thing but, I really enjoy them.

Less coin knowledge than silver price knowledge, but there was a small plastic container marked "war nickels" "50 cents" in a local store. Only found one actual war nickel, but spot was 1.89 or something. that was a month or 2 ago

If you say so. Think I'd have to see an overlay to be convinced of that though. The clash lines, if that's what they are, just don't match up with a $20 Lib design.

I was surprised, too -- how on Earth would a FEC obverse die get clashed with a Liberty die? Answer: skullduggery on the part of a Mint employee.

Depends on who ya ask apparently. But I'd be inclined to agree.

But the overlay convinced me, I just couldn't figure out how it fit.
