I agree that it is a very nice looking coin Except that Liberty's head was often struck flat & the dates on the early SL quarters quickly got worn flat.
:thumb: I agree a lot were struck weakly and flat. was a very well known issue. That why a 1916-1926-PDS with a grade of MS-64Full Head will cost you more than some Gold coin made in the same time.
I would like to show the ones I have, but my printer/scanner will not work with the new windows 7 program. I have only the 1921 to upgrade, 1927s to upgrade, and last the 1923s, which I do not. Not going to try for the 1916 or the 1918s over 1917. But what I have, on the others range, run from XF to UNC 65 FH. So, I enjoy seeing what all others have. Still searching for the others in the grade that I want.
A couple of my favorite SLQs; these both have that shaded grey patina that I believe brings out the details in the design.
Thanks for rubbing it in Collect. That Type 1 SLQ hole is empty in My 7070 and is just taunting me relentlessly. I wish there was a dislike button!
