I saw this on another forum and I thought it was so cool I had to steal it.
No it's not a MS70 red recently discovered. It's a coin that would be even more valuable than that if it ever got back to our planet.

You ever read about the Chain Cent that an early astronaut took up into space and then brought back? There was a blurb on it in NN a week ago I think. THey say it sold for a premium in the 60's and hasn't been seen since. Probably in someone's SDB as we speak.

    Nice pedigree

This 1909 VDB coin now has some serious provenance. It’s raw & assuming it does not get harshly cleaned or environmentally damaged, I wonder if it will ever end up in a terrestrial slab someday. Nice pedigree. :D

P.S. I hope it wasn't made in China.

P.P.S. A DDO might have caused some trouble with the camera auto focus heh?

Awesome. I love space exploration. Will be interesting to see how Mars takes a toll on this coin.

    Look forward to NASAs call

If NASA needs another cent for an upcoming mission I will give them my 1955 DDO.

    Reasons why?

A lot of people would get to see collect89's coin in all those NASA photos.
The coin would get more views than it gets in the SDB.
It would photograph beautifully using natural sunlight without any atmosphere to get in the way.
Would-be collectors (from around the universe) might see the DDR & get interested in coin collecting.
