Cleaning Coins With An Orbital Sander

    I like to get the crud off my old coins with my Black & Decker orbital sander.
    Boy, you should see the way it tears through all the crud, nothing short of miraculous!
    After I get all the crud off, I put some polishing compound on them and give them about five minutes on my buffing wheel!
    Lord almighty, you should see those coins sparkle!

    I use a dremel, it's more precise.

    That's how I got my 1879-CC Morgan to appear mint state

    Do you hold the coins with your fingers or use cotton gloves ?

    Yes, I'm sure owners of expensive coins are going to rush right down to their basement and start sanding their coins! :D

    Wow, Dremel does work good. I have one shiny 1983 quarter!
