I'd like to start a thread which shows pics of people's enders from their CHRing. Here's mine from yesterday, a much nicer pic thatn I originally posted. HOTN
I like this idea. I have found a few 90% kennedy ender and 1 franklin ender but just had to open it. I really hope this thread gets popular.
Kidding about what Noob? As I mentioned this thread is for pics of enders everyone finds and wants to share. Not for remarks like that. HOTN
You lucky *******s...all of my silver I find is either loose, or in the middle of a roll. I would probably poo my pants if I saw a silver Washington on the end of a roll I bought merely to do laundry with.
They have been going for some pretty high numbers considering it might be the only silver coin in the roll.
i posted my walking liberty ender on the roll searching thread a while ago, i had to open it but i wish i would have just threw the whole roll in the safe and kept it for a while. i believe it ended up being a 43
I wasn't sure how to interpret Noob's remark either, but I one thing for sure... eBay is full of "salted" rolls, supposedly "unsearched". I think it takes away from the ones that are genuine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Unsearched-...00?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1e6aa90e9c
are you implying the link you posted is of rolls that have been searched? what lead you to that conclusion? they look bank wrapped? I've never found an ender, but if I did it would be nearly impossible to keep myself from tearing it open!!
Rolly eyes do not help me understand how you identify that the rolls have been opened. I was simply asking a question. The pics shows bank crimped rolls. I think even your average joe would be able to tell when they recieve it if the crimping had been tampered with. Did you pick this listing to pick on at random, or do you have some evidence this is a shady seller? I'm just wanting to learn how to tell.
Shotgun rollers are easily purchased by anybody that wants to buy one. And they are not expensive. In other words, the type of paper roll that the coins are in has nothing to do with who rolled it up.
I could see selling an ender roll on ebay, but I wouldn't be able to keep myself from weighing it to see if it had more 90%ers in it... in which case I would consider it searched.... so couldn't sell it as unsearched. I guess I could sell it as "unopened" but then again I bet I would get bad feedback if the walker/frankie was the only silver... so not worth it really.
Actually, the possibility of truly unsearched rolls listed on eBay has been discussed many times here on CT. Basically, the bottom line is this: there are few if any on eBay, especially those with "enders". Unfortunately, there are way too many "trusting bidders", who buy these so-called "bank crimped rolls". Now, I want you to take a look at this, then tell me what you think: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw...ny+roll&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313
I didn't know you could buy rollers. I take you point on the penny listings. way too many indian head or mercury enders to be realistic. consider me educated! Thank you. :thumb:
A Barber half is rare, and finding on as an ender, I can't imagine the odds nowadays. I would not know what to think if I saw that looking at me. HOTN
