I save every single pre-95 bill I find. The "old style" bills have become rather extremely rare in circulation on account the FRB's destroy whatever they are sent without question. The only exception I would give for spending an old bill I found is if it were damaged from writing or tears.

So, would any of you spend a very decent condition series 1990 $100 note??
I'm not hurting for money or anything, so it's been sitting in a sleeve, but i don't want to save a $100 for no good reason.

I would save it for the fact that the old hundreds such as the one that you have, have not been reissued and released for circulation since 1996-11 eleven years! Some banks out there even pull the old bills just to send them off to be destroyed. That to me is simply wicked and evil. Also the bill you have may be more rare and special than other 1990 hundreds depending on the block and serial.

| $100 Frn 1981a
I just got 3 1981A $100 FRN's in numerical order. L14467886-L14467888. They look brand new. I am going back to see if they have anymore.

I live in a community with very little introduction of new currency. I still find the pre-95 stuff on a daily basis.

What REALLY annoys me is that a few days ago, I had to pay for a taxi with a '95 F to VF $10.
Then I realized i gave the cabbie a 50% tip. It just wasnt my day.
