weird looking 1976 dime

    hey, does the "6" on the 76 look weird to anyone else? am i just seeing it wrong or does it look kind of squished?

    looks like it took some sort of hit (damage) and metal shifted.

    Agreed. The coin probably took a hit from a roll-crimping machine. These machines, which essentially wrap "shrink wrap" coin rolls, are known to cause obscured date digits and/or mintmarks. Don't ask me how... I've never seen one of the devices in person. :p
