For those of you attending the F. U. N. show in Orlando next week, what is your pick for the best day to go? I'm thinking Friday, but would like to know what your thoughts are. Thanks.
I'm not 100% sure if I'm going, but it'll either be Thursday or Saturday. I'm very excited as this is my first coin show ever.
Go to the FUN website and view the schedule of activities and then make a choice based upon your preference. If you're going as a buyer for your collection, try Sunday, as most dealers are a little more flexible on the last day with pricing. Also, many of the coins that do not sell thru the Heritage Auction Saturday night are placed up for best offer or at reduced pricing on Sunday. This doesn't mean you'll get the coin at your price, but you just might if the seller is hungry enough. Remember that anything that has to do with Heritage has a 15% buyers premium. Divide the top dollar you want to spend by 1.15 to calculate your bid or best offer amount. This will be my first show after being dormant for many years. I'm going Friday thru Sunday and will spend most of the first two days excercising my eyes with practice on my grading skills. No way is one show going to make me an expert, but at least I can get more exposure here in a few days than might otherwise take better than a year or two. I'll be a buyer only if I'm comfortable with the coin and I can get it at my price ... lol. Have fun at FUN and send me a peivate e-mail if you want to meet. Rick
