Although I don't have much experience ordering hot ticket items from the Mint I wasn't expecting it to sell out so quickly. Hopefully everyone who put in the effort here that ordered a set (or 5) gets what they ordered.

This has gotta be a new record sellout time. I figured they would last untill at least this evening .

Hmm...I'm nervous now. I was just now able to get my order in (I have been trying since 9:00 a.m. EST). My order number is 383763XX...I hope I made the cut.

I definitely underestimated the demand. Thought for sure they'd be on sale all day and most of tomorrow too. WOW. Based on the fast sellout, I bet these sets will never be worth less than the Mint issue price. I also think the people who committed to sell their sets right away at $100 or so premium per set may end up regretting that. :)

I agree.... my 5 sets are going straight to the grading company.

Is this sellout driven by people speculating the selling price will be higher in s econdary markets?

First time I've experience something like this. For me it was one of the quickest sell outs. My other experience are the ATBs.

The 20th Anniversary Sets sold out pretty quickly, too, but now will come the worst part. As Matt indicated, many of them will go directly to the grading services, and those that grade 70 will soon be on the market for $500+ per coin.

$600 in my pocket is never something that I'd regret.

Besides, as soon as these get slabbed, a lot of these will start spotting and with each spot that shows up, knock a little off the premium.

    No regrets.

    Nice goin

I started trying exactly at noon. Both the website and a telephone. I finally was able to get an order in at 6:11pm. After I placed my order I realized I had done it under a waiting list notice. I came here only to find out that others were placing multiple orders. Thanks guys.:thumb:
