I'm usually pretty good with researching things on the net but, this coin has proven to be hard for me to identify, however i did figure out that Venz is Italian for survival.... Does anyone know anything about this coin? Any help on this would be highly appreciated .. Coin search.jpg

Could be a gas token. They have gas there!

I really hate it when I have a token that I can find no information on. I hope someone comes along with the answer because I am curious now.

Me too. I'm still stuck on the "Trafeco" token.

Sorry, no idea - but I don't think that "venz" is a standard Italian word. "Survival" would be "sopravvivenza" ... Being European and food oriented :) I think of chocolate sprinkles (as a sandwich spread) when I hear "Venz". That Dutch company is now owned by Heinz/US - but this token appears to predate the takeover, so I guess it has a different background.

It could be a token from Venezuela. That's what I meant by a gas token in my earlier reply. Though the Liberty head appears to be more like the Colombian one. I don't recall Venezuela ever using a Liberty head on their 20th century coinage or tokens. 13 stars is a clue for starters. Check to see if Venezuela has 13 states.

I have found one of this coins also. Have you found anything on it? Looking to take it to a coin dealer that is also into tokens soon.

    I think, it's a jetton from a casino.
