I've got two 1943-D/D Steel Wheat Cents, but I'm not exactly sure of the value of each and what number RPM they actually are. I don't know a whole lot about these CONECA die varieties, so all help is greatly appreciated! ... This one shows very strong strike doubling in the date and you are able to see the bold RPM at 5 o' clock next to the original mintmark. Also, I saw a similar example that had a bid of $20 on eBay, but this one is in much higher grade (The eBay piece was a low AU with damage). I am also fairly sure this coin does not qualify for grading (or only "Details") due to what I believe is corrosion or PVC damage on the obverse and reverse. -Brian
Number 1: I beleive it is just Strike Doubling. The details in question are clearly flat and do not have any rise whatsoever. Number 2: Looks like RPM-008 D/D Southwest So as far as value goes, no premium for the first one and you could probably get $5-10 for #2. BTW, my RPM specification numbers are based on the Wexlers guide.
