And paying 250.000 Dollars and I only get economy shipping that I have to pay for. But I get tracking !

Wanted to add: These insane 'buy it now amounts' are pretty common. I am sure the seller in now way thinks it is worth that amount. Hence, the 'make an offer'. You looked at the coin didn't you? I would say that tactic works.

This is why IMO I wish Ebay would have some sort of % listing fee simply to discourage some types of auctions. If I saw something like this on ancients, (and I have, garbage AG late Romans for $10,000), at least the seller would have to pay something based upon his ludicrous listing price. Maybe even 1/10th of 1%, on most auctions it would round to zero but on this one he would owe $250 right up front.

People never cease to amaze me. Ask the seller and they probably can cut you a deal on the shorts and shoes he has listed as well.

Some years back a kid had listed a plasma TV for $10,000.00 on ebay when they first came out, Well in the listing the kid said,,,,,, It's a great picture. well $10,000.00 dollars for that size screen he had listed went for a whole lot more money. the kid sold about 5 or 6 of them,,,Well when the people got there item in the mail they found out that the only thing they recieved ,,,,WAS a picture of this very exspenive TV and not the TV it self,,,,Well to say the least the kid got nabbed by the police for mail fraud, but since he was a minor at the time there wasn't much they can do to him,,,,I'm sure he got a heck of a spanking,,,,LOL

Shoe, you are right, I should have said "amaze me with their stupidity". If you don't know what it is, set an outrageous price, and wait for someone gullible enough to bite (although 250K is way overboard, and out to sea 20 miles). Kinda reminds me a little of gold electroplated state quarters that are "highly collectable".

 

that's just 50,000 less than i would take for my entire collection (in pounds of course)mind you if anyone gets the 1997 £2 coin with the maklouf obverse some people put it on ebay as the "extremely rare necklace £2 coin" even though they have the highest mintage of any bi-metallic £2 and i have had around 12 in my change so far this year.

Now that´s a beautiful error and it´s Raw as can be. It´s about right price and demand and his coins is off course junk

 

I sure am glad he is shipping that with a tracking number, I would hate to have some one steal my $250,000 dime.
