dont have a way to post a picture but i will try to describe this coin/token The front says 1961 John F Kennedy 1963 has a picture of him and under it says 35th president of the unite states of america. It is gold in colour Back says John F kennedy born may 29, 1917. WWII naval hero; First catholic president; estabished peace corps; youngest president to be assassinated; died nov 22, 1963 probably not worth anything, just curious as to the origin of the coin/token
Probably just one of thousands of medals and token made in 1963 and 1964 following his death. Just another way to have made a buck off of a tragedy.
It sounds like the tokens that some gas stations made commemorating all the presidents. Back in the early 70's, you would go to a gas station and get a folder and the token it had (for free) and try to fill up all of the presidents. It's probably worth a couple of bucks to the right person...
