Good little magnifying glass?

Anybody have any recommendations for a good magnifying glass that I can carry with me to flea markets, coin shops, etc.?

I like the 10X "stamp magnifier" for casual examination, as it gives me more
light and has a longer focal length and the focus is easily found. Something
like this one, but mine has a screw-in top lens so it can be set for your
eyesight, nice if you wear bi or trifocals I use a B&L 7-30X stereo
microscope for the hard to determine coins, but obviously not one to pack
for a coin show! Somewhat like this one.

boatofcar,
For what you need (nothing really high-tech or powerful, as I read it), you can get a 10x loupe at any reasonably decent coin store or dealer's website.

I agree, mine as well. Travels well in the pocket, and is protected by the case. Plus it has a nice large viewing surface for those that find jeweler loupes hard to focus with.

Whatever you decide on make sure it is glass, not plastic. The cheaper plastic ones can actually make a coin look weird. You can buy just about any brand for normal usage. I have several and I never botherd with a brand name as long as it is glass. I have one I kind of like that is two together that flip apart to make either 5X and together make 10X and both fit into a case so don't get all messes up.

I have to agree with this 100%. This is a all around great magnifier. I find it better for garding then my 10X loop.

I don't recall the brand but we bought a small magnifier with a built in light. Those coin shows and flea markets can be a little dark sometimes.
