Last weekend I met with Allen Berman and some other coin dealers at a local show. I walked out feeling really good about the coins I found there. Here are photos in no particular order. This first one is the only coin I found from the Dominican Republic. This old coin is readily available in grades GD to maybe VG or fine. This is the first one I have seen in this nice a condition. It is an 1891 10 Centesimos.

This next one is actually a duplicate for me but the price was right. It is a Haiti 25 Centesimos dated AN13. AN13 is the 13th year after the Haiti slave revolt (revolution). This translates into 1816.

Here are a few coins from Mexico. This first one is old & has a lot of character. It is a 2 real dated 1775. It is KM 88.2 I don’t know whether to grade it an F or a low VF.

These two silver Mexican coins are quite common but these particular two are really nicely preserved & free of marks. One is a 1947 one Peso and the other is a 1957 one Peso. Of course, the 1957 has very little silver in it.

These two Mexican coins are a 1936 five Centavo and a 1946 10 Centavo. I haven’t seen these coins in my travels before but I don’t believe that they are anything rare. I wonder if anyone else at CT has examples in their collection?

This last Mexican coin is a 1906 10 Centavos. If this coin were a Barber dime, then it would be worth mucho dinero. I probably paid about 5% of the Barber dime price for this beautiful coin.

    That's all for now

This is a Great Britain 6 Pence dated 1901. Again, if this were a Barber dime (with such a clean cheek), then the price would be through the roof. The toning & luster is very soft & pleasant IMO.

Thanks for letting me share & I hope you liked the pictures.

    Very best regards,

P.S. I have one more from Italy & will take a photo for posting later.

Those are all beautiful coins. Congrats. I really like the 1775 2R, way better shape then mine. And the mexico coins are all nice. Always been a fan of mexican coinage. The Queen is also a beauty.

Okay..... this is one of the coolest coins I've seen! What's the ballpark on this one?

    Hello ikandigit,

Here is a link to an earlier post describing my first 1816 Haiti coin. The first one may be the better of the two examples but I have yet to compare them side by side. As I recall (and the photos indicate) the first one had better strike & nicer original toning. This latest example is more steel grey color. The ballpark is $30 to $100.

Thank you for the kind words. I think you see why I was so happy to find them here in Connecticut. You probably see many more nice Mexican coins in the Los Angeles area.

I didn't even know they had coins in Haiti ! The one pictured isn't even round, it looks like an ancient Roman coin.

    Hello Ripley,
I don't have any 8R from that era in my collection. Now they are on my wantlist.

I took photos of the last coin

Here is the Italian coin. IMO, Italy made some very beautiful coins in the post WWII era. I think this coin is one of the pretty ones. It is a 1950 five Lire.
