Found myself a nice BIE. Picked it up for $0.05 Still trying to photograph coppers. Not my strong suit. Also picked up this AU 1909 wheat and XF 1920 wheat for next to something And a couple halves. A purdy eagle, (I have yet to pay cash for one. This one I traded for) And finally a story. I was in charge of buying raffle prizes for the March meeting at the coin club. I ended up buting a couple silver pieces and Proof sets from the 70s and 80s. I got reimbursed my $35 and bought $5 in raffle tickets. I was the first two tickets picked, so I picked these two. Not bad for $5 eh? Silver Washington Half
I guess I'm going to have a type set some day. I saw this one at the local show and thought it was nice. It's in a lower tier slab but I didn't think it was overgraded.
Thank you very much. I'm on my phone and its quite hard to multi-task and look things up. Since we're on the subject of Lincoln's, I have 95 DDO but I don't see what's supposed to be doubles really. Where are the markers for the doubling?
Thanks so much. After directing me right to it I can clearly see the doubling on the letters. 'I' 'N' 'G' 'O' it's very pronounced on the 'B' and noticeable on the 'E' and the 'R' Thanks again. That was fun to find and see. I thought I could see it on the 'B' before but I never pulled this put to research just took the slab for face value that it was DDO
Here's some seller pics of a couple nickels I won't recently. 1913 Buffalo Nickel Type 1 MS-62 1950-D Jefferson Nickel MS-65 5 Full Steps Two different sellers, surprisingly similar pictures. Hoping for some gems when they get here!
And look what the mailman just dropped off. She's been all over the easy coast circling her way in for a landing And some iPhone enhanced pictures
Thank you very much Alan, I am always glad to share my little finds with you guys! Heck, y'all are the only people who care and really appreciate the efforts. Thought I should mention she's officially graded at AU-50
Picked this pair up today at a coin show. It was my first show, I got my wife to go along. She got into it, actually picked out the 1950D first, and then barginned the guy down a couple bucks We had almost no cash with us, it was good to go and check it out...
