1926- NGC slabbed NOTE: If you don't vote in the poll, your vote will not be counted. Here are 4 pictures. The second set are truer to the colors.
If voted this time with what I think, that's an easy 65 coin...but I'm going with the TPG grade this time to help my score. LOL That's one HELL of a 16-D bro!!!!
I think it is a keeper - and I did not even pay what either of them went for at Heritage. I am very pleased.
TY When I get things under control, I have a bunch of a contest set up, just not quite all of it yet.
Dick, I would normally go with a 64 however I think with it's appearance it got a 65..plus I had a harder time grading with the toning on the coin. I feel that it may/does hide any imperfections of the coin. None the less it's a great coin and I will gladly take it off your hands
What's that aberrant field to the right of Lincoln's face? When you tilt that coin in hand, does it have a "tiger's eye" look? As in, does that region reflect differently than the rest of the coin? Assuming it's not a ding, that's certainly a cool little section of toning. Never seen that before
Beaut toning and eye appeal... I was initially stuck on 63 and really didn't want to give the +1, but gave in and went 64. There's something on the rim (hit or plancet flaw at 10 o'clock, and the reverse appeared a bit chattery)..... very hard for me to grade, but really like the toning.
