What's the best cheapest coin I can invest in now that will have a decent value in say 5 years? except gold or silver ones...

I have no idea. I am a collector, not an investor.

The best one to buy now is one that has very little value and that no one is interested it and that will go up substantially in the future. All you have to do is find it and wait until there is a lot of interest in it in the years to come and then sell it for a lot of money.:D

Don't know what to say about a particular individual coin, nor can I accurately predict the trends for the next five years, but, personally, I'm saving all 1982 and earlier copper cents (as they contain slightly over two cents worth of metal). I can only hope that some day the melt ban will be lifted. I just put all the ones I get in change in a separate jar and let them sit. I'm not losing any money on it and I can always just use them at face value if it doesn't work out. I hope that answers your question: they are certainly the cheapest investment you can make.

    Oh, and welcome to CoinTalk!

I'm gambling on this one right now. If you bought five years ago, you'd be in the red quite a bit right now. But, I feel they are currently undervalued, and will start to climb in the not so distant future.
