Kinda new to paper collecting, but I found this in a $100 stack of fives that I got from my credit union. I just wanted to see if I could find any star notes but instead I found this. I am very happy to have found it in such great shape before someone just spent it. I almost forgot how beatiful the older style money really was. I wish it still looked like this (damned counterfeiters gotta ruin everything!). Anyway I was wondering how much it's worth or would be worth in say 20 years when my kids are grown? Any tips, hints, suggestions are appreciated. I am keeping it in a PVC free BCW sleeve binder page in case you were wondering. Thanks!

Nice older FRN, but the BEP pumped out 96 million of this block (G-G), and it has a "book value" of $15 in CH-CU uncirculated condition. The key note for the 1988A $5 denomination is the Minneapolis Star. With only 128,000 printed, these bring over $200 for uncirculated examples. What will your note will be worth in 20 years ??? Who knows, maybe $20 ?

I saved alot of old notes and I never realized the appreciation in value that I thought I would. Should have bought gold with the money instead.
