View attachment 94639 With a customer I have been working on an 1796 Type set of US coins. It's not finished yet but I think it's progressing nicely. We need 3 more coins to have one of each denomination. He brought it in today for me to photograph and said it was ok if I shared the pics. Enjoy!

I don't write dyslexic, but I sometimes read dyslexic and at first I thought I read 1976 AU Type Set and I was thinking, why on earth would anyone be bragging about some worn out modern coins? Then I opened your thread and now see why you have bragging rights!

    Wow !!!

When I saw the title of the thread, I thought some joker was just foolin' around. Those are the most "serious business" coins I've seen on this site in a while. Certainly humbles my 1810 mint set...

I gotta say the 50c is the most mind blowing, followed by the $10 and the 25c.

Will he include a draped bust 1c ?

Thank you for sharing that very nice set. Just to think that George Washington was president while those coins were being minted. May I ask how long has that set been in the making?

The 1/2 cent is next on the list. I have looked at 2 that didn't cut it in the past 2 years.

Our challenge was inspired by PCGS president Don Willis when he was still running Premium Numismatics. My customer and I were looking for really choice pieces to obtain and we came across the 1796 half pictured. Don asked what our particular interest was in the year and mentioned that nobody has attempted to do a 1796 type set in quite some time to his knowledge. The fire was lit.

Wow!!! So that's what a half mil $ looks like? I know the half and the $10 are the money coins, but they are all nice.
