Has anyone here ever completed the ANA’s correspondence courses? They are backordered on the ANA’s website but I called the education department and they told me they should have some in a week or so. I gave them my credit card # and told them I wanted a set as soon as they come in. I think the cost was around $400.00. I am excited about it and was just wondering if any of you have ever done them.
The $400 is to take ALL the courses plus a final comprehensive test and a registration fee. Once you complete all these things and pass the final test you get a certificate. You'll save nearly $200 by not registering for the certificate or taking the final exam. I think I'd want the certificate if I was applying for employment in a coin store, but other than that I don't see any advantage to it. I plan on taking the classes individually very soon.
My understanding is that it has to be post-secondary education by an accredited college, so no. I have been wrong in the past, however, and will probably be wrong again before I die
completed the course and it was helpful and fun. Some of the material is dated, from the 90's, but still relevant. Movie portions were good. To complete the course you need to attend a live ANA course and take a proctored exam. I have not been able to schedule a live course (extra charge). Overall I was satisifed
I got them in the mail today, I must admit; for the money I spent I am a little disappointed at first glance but still excited to start!
