Beautiful Lincoln. It's a strong strike with lots of detail. No distracting marks and solid color. I'd give it a 66RD.
I can't tell whether the mark between the T in Cent and the wheatstalk is on the surface or a gouge. Same for the mark in front of Abe's nose. I'm assuming they are not gouges and if so, am guessing PCGS gave it a 65 RD.
I will put up the answers tomorrow. Any more answers? BTW, I would appreciate it if those participating would vote in the poll. It is so much easier to pull the answers from the poll.
66 RD.... nice cent !.... didn't make me say "wow" out loud, which is my requisite for MS67,,, but definitely held my eye longer than most 65's I've seen in that date.
I think PCGS gave the coin MS64 RD. Too many many small marks, in addition to what Breakdown was talking about. And I think they are both gouges. Also the distracting diagonal mark that is to the right of Lincoln's forehead.
Dang....missed again! I need to look longer instead of trying to 10 second grade. Now that I look at this coin again I can see it. Thanks for doing this! It's fun!
