"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a sixpence for her shoe." Now many know the first part but not the part about the six pence, Now i need to find a good six pence for my fiance for our wedding in August, and ideas where to get one online? And here's the announcement picture, figured o should share it with all my good CT buddies
Very pretty lady! Nice pic of the two of you. As for the sixpence, is there a year or country you're looking for? I'm going to a coin show in about a week and I remember one of the dealers had one at the show. I think it was a King George V. Nice looking coin.
Just make sure to get a Silver one!!! Just make sure to get a Silver one, there are a lot of rip off artist out there advertising that quote without the word silver and selling people CuproNickel sixpences... for shame. The true quote is: "Something old, something new, Something borrowed, something blue, And a silver sixpence in her shoe." I actually picked one out for my wife as well, being that I collect world coins! After the wedding we set it in a pendant! I really liked the reverse design!
Fine looking lady ..... you got lucky!!! Good looking haircut ..... high and tight ..... in what branch or our services are you serving?
Very creative announcement photo! Here is an 1888 6p on eBay, a very lucky date... http://cgi.ebay.com/LUCKY-WEDDING-S...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5d295dd4b7 Or perhaps a 6p from her birth year. 1988 maybe?
