1898 vam pitted die

    Here's a 1898 morgan dollar pitted die i just bought from my dealer.
    This is a vam i don't know what vam anybody know what vam this is.
    My dealer didn't know what vam it was.

    It could be the VAM-8. Date position looks the same and is slanted with the "1" nearest the denticles. Look to see if the "1" is doubled on the bottom side of the upper crossbar.

    The reverse looks like a 1885

    Thanks mad outcast for that site,Yes i made a mistake on the reverse when i posted it it's a 1898 instead of a 1895 sorry

    I my be wrong but that rev looks like one I had posted on Facebook???

    And the obverse pics look just like vette1986's off eBay.
    Also, don't believe there is a pitted VAM listed for the 1898 P.

    but 90% sure the Rev is one a troll had stolen the photo & re-posted before

    The obverse is a 1885 and not a 1898,I saw that on ebay myself weird to do stuff like that.

    It's very clear to me that the obverse is a 1898 removed.

    I think he meant reverse, when you enlarge the coin photo it is titled 1885 reverse.

    If you right click on the reverse photo and go to "Properties", it identifies it as an 1885.

    Well, you did say the obverse was an 1885, and I assume that you meant to say "reverse", but you're right about his other remarks. They are totally inapporpriate.
