    Small gold coin / China - Japan ? Need help

    A very small coin, I have no idea after serching were it comes from or value.

    Anyone have a clue ?

    Dont know the history of these coins but this one weighs at 0.24 grams

    Can you say Pho Nee?

    Your coin is supposedly a Republic Year 3 (1914) Yuan depicting Yuan Shi Kai. All five varieties of that coin are 26.4g of .890 silver with a diameter of ~37-38mm.

    There was a gold pattern with a bust of Yuan Shi Kai, but it was undated. Krause does not give its dimensions or weight, but for the denomination a .900 gold coin of that period should weigh about .833g, or 3.5 times the weight of yours.

    Ethical conduct is being honest when no one is watching.
