I ordered the proof Walker in Copper just to see how it looked, and what a waste. The only difference is that liberty is frosted and that has removed some detail. For that markup... Not worth it.
Seems to me that based on what they are saying, delays make perfect sense. They couldn't start minting the last run until after the last sale date. That way they produced no more and no less than ordered. Seems to me that they don't want to set a limit and produce them all in case they don't all sell, and they also don't want to set a limit in case demand exceeds it. I call this, having your cake and eating it too.
I think they're pretty cool looking but can't imagine spending over spot what everyone is asking! Some are going for $34! :,(
Anyone have any ideas for the next design? Heard a cool suggestion. Ben Franklinstein, or maybe a Scalped Indian head cent? What other ideas do you guys think for potential designs?
They have a few different Liberties to play with. Statue of Liberty even. She was on the... Was it 81 half? Sorry guys, I don't know. Or was that Washington on his horse? The bicentennial drummer on the back of the quarter? Dilapidated Washington or Lincoln memorial? Maybe Monticello in flames? They have 12 designs to go. They are going to have to dig deep for some of these.
The Zombuck Series by Provident Metals is a fun and inexpensive way to impress and dazzle your friends with a shiny, new and different gift! I have decided to collect a version of each coin in the series except for the Silver Proof, it's a little too pricey for me and not a good choice for silver investment in my tattered and torn book! Thus, I have limited my collection to the Copper Rounds, Copper Round Proofs and Silver Rounds only. So far so good as I have all of the limited edition (10,000) series in the bag. Have fun Zombie Hunters!
Unless they changed their minds, the Zombuck series is only a 10 part series. So there should be 7 left to produce.
Maybe Provident should sue: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-5-or-10-1...t=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item2335915376
Got my copper and silver zombuffs today. I noticed the copper versions are now burnished rather than proof like. Kind of odd for Provident to switch like that after two designs. I guess they want their "proofs" to look different than their bullion versions.
