Here's a section that will have the banknote collectors thinking.It is about the Zimbabwean Bearer Cheques that have been issued since late 2003.The Traveller's Cheques that were issued by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe in early 2003 are also regarded as being a part of this series. A new issue of Bearer Cheques is due to be issued some time this year,but no announcement has come from the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe,a nutcase called Gideon Gono,about when these will be issued & what denominations these will come in. I wouldn't be too surprised if the Zimbabwean Mint,Bulawayo are in the process of printing the new issue right now ready for stockpiling. Aidan.
