The rules of the contest are simple.

    1. Be 18 years of age or younger.

    2. Live in The United States.

    3. Unenforceable, but I request that this goes to someone who appreciates Mercs. (ie please don't turn around and sell her)

    4. If you are underage dont forget to ask your parent's permission if you want to enter.

To enter, reply to this thread with your age and tell me what is your favorite key date Coin. I will use a random number generator to randomly select a winner from the replies.

This contest will close on Christmas and I will announce a winner!

    Good luck!

At 73, I don't think I qualify, but want to say thanks to @1916D10C for doing this.

This is actually a contest I really hope I win because the Mercury dime is my favorite coin design! As it turns out my favorite key date is also in the Mercury dime series and is the 1916d Mercury dime. For me that is a dream coin that out in the distant future I plan to own an example. If I win this contest this coin will be my first lower mintage Merc but most importantly this coin will have found a forever home with a Merc lover! I will post a picture of my Mercury dime collection tomorrow after finals. Thanks for the opportunity @1916D10C it means so much to me!

They went well. Highest grade I needed was a 34% to keep my grade. How about you?

I have a question @NLL did you really find that 1876 quarter in a roll, in your profile picture

Yes I did find it in a roll. It was my first silver quarter I ever found in a coin roll and the main reason I joined CoinTalk.

I feel the same way schepys_coins does........ This is an awesome find. Keep searching...... you may find more! Anyways, what is the story behind it, how did you find it?

    I've done 4 finals so far, 105% 96% 72% and 100%
I'm really worried about my PE grade, I have a 104% in the class and if I get -138% on the final i'll end the course with a B! Better study so I don't get a -138% on my test.

Yes it is. There are plenty of coins from the 1800s still in circulation. They just need to be found!

I bought 100 dollars in quarters with the intent of filling up slots in the ATB series and when I opened up one of the rolls I saw a really thin sliver of silver in the roll. I thought it was going to be a barber but I was really happy it wasn't! It is my oldest coin find to date other than the extremely corroded shield nickel I found last year.
