While looking for general information on modern US coins I came across the site www.coinfacts.com.....Great site BTW(i think)....... Anyway, Scrolling through the roosevelt dimes page on that site I noticed in the year 2000 only a little under 2Million of each mint mark were put into circulation.... Isnt that odd? Or maybe just a typo? All the years before and after are well into the billions for coins in circulation....... Any insight into this?? Would the lesser numbers make them more valuable in the future?
It's an error. Combined these two coins had the largest of all clad mintages. Despite this there is little evidence that the coins are readily available in mint condition as almost all examples are in circulation.
