Sorry it took so long but had a little problem with photobucket. Today an old customer of mine was at the flea market and had a small cigar box full of world coins and paper money; he wanted $20 for them so I said, what the hey, so I bought them. I went back to my counter and looked through the coins and bills, and lo and behold look what I found! If you want to see any one bill closer let me know! My coins are posted here! Warning! Quite a few pics! Front Back Front Back Front Back Front Back
Very nice!!! You may want to check and see if any of those banknotes are replacement notes (same as our star notes). Here's a site if you are interested. http://www.banknoteexpress.com/replacements.html Lou
I will definetly check it out when I get a chance, Thanks! Edit: I just checked the site and none of mine are replacement notes. Mybe next time.
At first I was wondering why in the world did I just buy these, but of course that changed very quickly when I saw the $10 bill!
That is quite an amazing purchase for only $20!!!! if i could get type of celection for $20.. i would do it all day long
I just might do that. i don't do too much with paper money but this may just be a start! I may also start an account with Omni.
I just finished posting the bills at Banknote Bank. Thanks for metioning this, I really enjoyed it. http://www.banknotebank.com/?collection=Byrd740
The two that you have down as Russian are from the Ukrain Issued on September 2, 1996. 2 Hryvnias Portrait of the Grand Duke Yaroslav the Wise St.Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv. 5 Hryvnias Portrait of Boghdan Khmelnytskyi Church in the village of Subotiv A great haul of notes and coins for $20
Thanks! I will change them right now. I am not used to bank notes, still learning. I was afraid some of them might be wrong.
LOL took me a while to figure out why I was uneasy about them and I have them :goofer: its the writing on them that is somewhat confusing and the lack of a trident
Now that you mentioned them being Ukrainian, its clearly obvious not Russian. Thanks again. I even noted you under the details! __________________________________________ Also I started an account at Omni. http://www.omnicoin.com/?collection=Byrd740
Some lovely coins on show there :hail: I realy like the Austrian florin Wow that is nice :hail: If you want help with the sigs on the polymers please let me know I have a rather good disc on them LOL
I would like to take a good oicture of the florin one day to show all of its lustre. I know I sound like a broken record by scans just do not show what the coin really looks like. Any help on the notes would be very much appreciated. I am still brand new to the notes!:goofer:
