If you look at my two post just above you can see examples of what you are asking about. And, just for effect I'll add this photo:

My eyes are bad too, hoping that working with something that is stationary would help. I can't seem to take a good picture with a camera, that's why I'm looking for an alternative.

My eyes aren't good either, should have put that out there too. I never had a good camera and I've been trying to take pictures with a smartphone. I switched to an Apple iPhone and my pictures don't all come out blurry, but don't look anything close to what people post. At this point all I can do is scan my coins. Is there different model of the Mustcam, if so what model is good and what kind of price range is it in? I've seen a couple starting from $150-220.

What is wrong with the pictures I posted from my $40 setup?

That's a nice photo, does your Mustcam have a model number?

I don't see a model number. They have a tech support web site support@mustcam.com. I'm not saying that everyone will get the same results that I do, but I think it is great for coins. You can see that in order to get the full photo of the Morgan the scope need to be higher. That's why I use the taller stand. My hands aren't very steady. Additionally. I didn't take time to focus and make a sharp image for this quick demonstration. I like it and others might heat it.

There are so many $40-70 on amazon it's hard to know what to choose for a cheap starter for myself. Your pics are good enough for my use at this point, I want the cam to take good enough pics to try to learn about varieties and errors, which I and be able to post here and learn.

As you can imagine, it was made in China. It is 10X - 300X. I got it on Amazon for a total of $42. It came with the shorter stand, CD, pad black on one side white on the other and calibration chart. Good luck.

Your pics are great, $40, can't go wrong. Trying to pick one of the many $40-70 cams is kind of a puzzle to me. Some give magnification, others give Mega pixels, reviews are all over the place, some saying the focus mechanism is cheap and hard to use etc... Do you have a brand name and model of the one you use?

Does yours have a SD card that you can transfer your pics to your PC?

It is a USB camera. It plugs directly into the PC so you view and capture in real time. See the setup I posted of the Morgan. It is being viewed on the PC screen. You can designate a file to store your pics in and when you snap them they go directly to that file.

I see the Mustcam going for about $120. If I'm not mistaking, you have the ability to capture the whole coin (with taller stand) and also get fine details when close up. This sounds like a better investment to me and still in my price range. I've seen statements about Window 10 and updates causing issues, have you any of those problems with your Mustcam?

I have windows 10 and no issues. Well, you saw my photo of the mint mark and the full Morgan. With this setup you can look at the details your interested in and move the coin around until you see what you want, then snap the photo.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CYND2HK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The link to Amazon for the one I got. I see it is currently unavailable.

Whatever you do don't get one with the flexible arm. Too hard to work with.

I guess the thing I can take away from all the good input I got is... get something that doesn't have the low of at least 10x and don't need super high
magnification, I'm assuming that these that have 200-300x is way more than needed anyway. I don't want to try scanning my coins anymore, most come out strange, good looking silver doesn't look half bad. This is a scan of one of my GSA morgans.

Here's the reverse. Large files, would fit both sides.
