It's much easier when you give the dimensions of the coin! If it's 24mm wide, and weighs 5.6552g, its a shilling, KM#781, worth something less than $2.50, the value Kruase assigns for an F grade. If it's 33mm, and weighs 14.138g, its a 1/2 crown, KM#764, worth something less than the $6 F value assigned by Krause. In either case it's sterling silver (.925). With the hole, it's probably worth it's weight in silver, and not much more.
Coin from Great Britain. Bill,if the coin is around the size of a Canadian 10c. coin, then it is a Sixpence (or 6d. for short). If the coin is around the size of a Canadian 25c. coin, then it is a Shilling (or 1/- for short). There were 12 Pence in 1/-,& 20/- made up 1 Pound. Aidan.
