It really depends which sets I'm working on but I've been buyng U.S. Half Dimes lately more than anything else. They've also become my favorite.
Kennedy halves, PCGS, the lower pop the better. See my Registry Sets under giorgio11 at PCGS Set Registry. George ======================= VDB Coins
Interesting... The roman coins are kinda weird looking, but very old. So I guess that is why The half dimes are cool and expensive in higher grades... Pre1982 Commemoratives, my favorite out of those would be Oregon Trail
WOW! Those are some nice jeffersons... All my jeffersons are in AG-G condition, and by all of mine, I mean 3!
I liek the large cents, but end up getting outbid all the time, even when I snipe! lol I have a complete indian head set from 1888-1908, of course, I need more!!! lol And the bust coins are beautiful!
Just stick with it - eventually you will win. I have one complete set of IHC's - and really only need a 1877 for an album for a second set. The large cents I need about 3 key dates and 2 semi-key dates to really have a date set - lots of extra varieties. Lots more collecting to do on them all.
I was addicted to Morgans for a long time. Now, I'm more of a type guy. The older the better. I also like to get high grade common date Mercs, Buffs, Walkers, Morgans, whatever. I could care less about scarcity, I'm in it for the beauty of the coin.
