I usually buy for around 15 times face lately, which is right around melt value. Not much around lately though. I haven't bought much in a while.
China is KLLLNG the Coin game with copies. hope their Govt gives them them the ULTMATE sentence when caught as interfering with currency is an Act of War!!! Apart from buying Australian 2 oz 99.999% silver kookaburras with half a gram of solid gold privy in them i purchased a Kilo of Silver from Perth Mint for $737-00 Australian last month.
Found a shop selling junk coins at 9% over melt. Common rounds and bars $1 over spot. ASE's $4 over. Higher end rounds and bars $2 to $3 over depending on mint.
Around $4 over spot for ASE $3 over spot for Maples Honestly at my LCS it varies around $3-$6 over spot depending on the year also. Usually I hit $24-$25 for ASE.
If I'm not buying a common date or rough grade, I'd be happy to fill several holes in my Peace & Morgan collection for $25.
$20k for a MS70 seems a bit out of touch with reality. There's a sharp premium over an MS69, but I'd only expect 15% or so.
