Bank lobbies being closed means that largely coin counter machines are unavailable. As a coin roll hunter I am extremely aware of the amount of traffic those machines host. Opening bank lobbies would alleviate this coin circulation issue in a matter of weeks.

I've got so many coins I'd love to off-load but nowhere to do it.

 

As I've said repeatedly, there is no coin shortage but there is a supply problem.

 

I think he needs a bigger office. The coins shortage may be due to him not having enough room to work.

 

I've never used a coin star. Can you run any denomination? can you run mixed lots? Help appreciated.

 

I use Coinstar twice a year.. You can dump all denominations at the same time and the machine sorts it out for you. Only thing is that they charge a .12 Cent per dollar fee. I don't mind the charge since the majority of the coins I dump are metal detecting finds.

My bank lobby is open for dumping, just have to wait outside until things are relatively clear, get temp check, then in you go.
I don't use coinstar usually, but early on when the bank was closed, I used the Amazon feature where they don't take a percentage and give you a gift certificate or something

Yes, you can run all detonations and mixed, the machine sorts them out. Keep an eye on the reject cup. I've used one a couple times. If you do, go slow, otherwise they tend to reject good coins. The big issue for me, is the machine at my local Kroger keeps 12%. I understand if you go to Walmart, and accept a Walmart gift card, you can get face value.

My bank accepts rolled coins at the Commercial, drive up window. I cashed $245 worth last Wednesday. They were grateful for them. Even gave me the paper wrappers free.

 

As mentioned many times before this is completely accurate

 

I take my coins to my State Credit Union coin machine. After I have off-loaded all my coins, I check the reject slot. The coin machine gives me a receipt (after all my drops, the machine has never been wrong.). I give the receipt to the cashier and they will give me currency or let me deposit it. I always deposit it and they will also take the rejects and added it to the deposit. Great credit union.

I use a State Credit Union where i just give the bag to teller at front door and brings me cash Then i will will go to my regular branch bank hand $ 100 and they will put 4 Boxes of pennies in my vehicle.

Ok, subtract about 20 who are collectors and here on the board, that leaves what, maybe 5 people in the rest of the world???

 

Damn. That messed me all up. I was thinking the opposite (go figure). Was salting away all my 20 coins. I suck at this stuff

I think I may get stabbed if I paid for everything with pennies.
