It's time for our favorite daytime fun show- U Grade It!!! LOL Here is yet another in a string of U Grade Its where we ask you, the experts to grade the coin and that's it!!! No winners, no losers, just opinions!!! As always in my series of U Grade It, there is no final authority! This coin has NOT been graded by a TPG!!! So let your expertise fly!!! This installment of U Grade It features this beautiful 1855 Half Cent! pardon the white dust, it's from the 2x2!!! so, now please do enjoy!!!!
I'm torn between an EF-45 and AU-50. Looks like some damage to the denicales on reverse between two and four o'clock but that might just be the photo itself. Nice coin Mr. Mike.
I think XF45 - a touch to much wear on the hair. This looks like a nice solid half cent. Very nice coin.
are you sure? I think your a little low with your estimate:whistle::smile I was thinking something more along the lines of SGS MS 69 RD.
personally, I lean more towards the side of High end VF, MAYBE XF when I view the coin in hand. It looks like there's some nice honest wear, but not too much. I'd like you to be a bit more critical of this coin, and maybe I can post more pics.
EF-40 to EF-45 This coin saw only limited circulation. Half cents were only minted for another couple of years after 1855 and circulated only another 2 or 3 years after that. Nice coin.
XF40, maybe 45. Maybe it's the just scan, but it seems lustre-less. If the coin looks the same in hand, I would say it's retoned from a harsh cleaning long ago.
