Both of the above 2000 dated business strike dimes are available in 20-piece Mint Sets. 3,082,483 dimes were struck in proof for Proof sets in 2000 by the San Francisco Mint and any individual proof coins available were removed from proof mint packages. Only 856,400 90% silver dimes were struck in proof by San Francisco for inclusion in Special Silver Proof sets and any individual 2000 dated Proof Silver Dime was removed from the Mint's proof packages. 2000 Washington Quarter The obverse of the Washington Quarter is the same on all 5 commemorative State Hood Quarters struck in 2000. Dollar km311 (2000+) Sacagawea With the New 2nd Millennium came a New United States Dollar, the 2000 Sacagawea Dollar was accompanied by a belief metal dollars would replace paper currency dollars so the Business strike mintage figures in 2000 were high compared to later mintages. 767,140,000 Sacagawea Dollars were struck at Philadelphia in 2000. Please note that some of these Philadelphia Sacagawea Dollars have a reverse feather count of only 12 feathers rather than the regular 13-feather count. 518,916,000 Sacagawea Dollars were struck at Denver in 2000. 1,416,000 each of the two above coin mintages were placed in the 20-piece Mint Sets for 2000. 3,082,483 Proof Sacagawea Proofs were struck by San Francisco in 2000. There were no Silver Sacagawea Dollars struck in 2000 However to create a Special Millenniuim Collectors' Set the Mint had West Point strike a 2000-W Silver Eagle Bullion coin and teamed it with a 2000 Sacagawea Dollar and a Series 1999 $1 Federal Reserve Note. The rarest Sacagawea Dollar comes from a special-finish group of 5,000 coins created as a presentation to Glenna Goodacre as the Contest Winner for designing the Sacagawea Dollar. In 2000 a special Commemorative coin set was created to honor Leif Erickson. The set is therefore referred as the (2000) LEIF ERICKSON MILLENNIUM: This set contains a Proof Silver Dollar and an Icelandic 1,000 Kronur. Also, in 2000, the Mint struck a Bicentennial Commemorative Silver Coin. The Mint, also struck this coin in both uncirculated and proof. They bear the "W" mint mark.
