@Victor_Clark Could probably eyeball that Constantine bronze and tell you the mint. It seems like so many of them come from Siscia.
You know, there’s so much room in the mintmark area, I wonder if it’s one of these scarce issues from Lugdunum, with captives in the exergue. Image and description from London ancient coins: Constantine I (307/310-337). Æ Follis (17mm, 3.14g, 12h). Ludgunum, 319-320. Helmeted and cuirassed bust r. R/ Two Victories holding shield inscribed VOT/PR in two lines over decorated altar; P-L flanking two back to back captives in exergue. RIC VII 79.
Ancients are always great for show and tell novices like me. I enjoy the pic's and posts. Thanks everyone be safe
Very nice Constantine @galba68 ...... Maybe some ornate detail under the gunk on the boss? That would be a bonus! Cool finds....'Happy pinging'!
