I finally thanks to the prodding of family and several dealers have gone to the dark side. Today at the ANA show in Baltimore i went to one of my favorite dealer (aspen park coins) and bought my first true world coin, a 1754 ms64 GB farthing graded by PCGS. THe grade is actually much higher because of its great creamy brown fields and no detracting marks that i could see but for world coins it seems not to matter as much. As soon as i can i will take a picture and put it up here. BTW i spent 500 on it and would appreciate any insight on whether i should return it while i still can or if i got a good deal. Sorry for the wall-o-text Glad to be back at posting here its been a few years i think. Thanks for reading Jacob
I will take a picture tomorrow so that i can use natural sunlight. In a side note I have been tinkering with creating some sort of device to make my pictures turn out better with a clear bowl and if anyone has any hints please send me a PM.
Oh, it sure is. Y'know, there is the dark side (the entire world, except one country), and there is the sad rest. Christian
well here the coin is http://www.aprci.com/CoinDetailsAll...osition=FIL:SortNo+=+241ORD:ABS:14KEY:281PAR: im a little ticked that on the website the coin is cheaper then what i bought it for but i still love the coin
If you're happy with it then keep the coin. It's a beauty and in great condition. Personally, I would have held off on pulling the trigger -- simply because I prefer silver... Take Care Ben
